How to Apply

Ready to get your scholarship money? To start, you’ll need to apply to ICC or already be enrolled. Then you’ll need a bit of preparation for your online application.

You’ll be asked to share your background, future plans , needs, and activities.

You’ll need records of income for the previous year, such as W-2 forms for yourself and your parents, according to federal guidelines. If you’re over the age of 24 or married, you won’t need parent income.

You’ll need the contact information for your references. These should be teachers, counselors, or work supervisors – recommendations from family members aren’t accepted. The people you ask for a reference will submit their recommendation online. You’ll see detailed instructions during the application process.

Peoria Promise

If you have been a resident of Peoria or West Peoria for four years or more, attended high school in Peoria – you may be eligible for 50-100% tuition reimbursement through Peoria Promise. Peoria Promise is a last dollar reimbursement program. Your reimbursement will be determined after all other financial aid has been applied.

Check out the Peoria Promise website and submit your online application between February 1 and May 1.

Many scholarships require students to apply for federal aid, so you’ll need to complete your FAFSA before submitting your ICC scholarship application. If you don’t qualify for federal aid, you can still qualify for many Foundation scholarships.

If you’re receiving other financial aid for the academic year, your scholarship award may be reduced to remain in compliance with federal regulations.
