The application is your chance to make a strong impression. Our evaluation process places an emphasis on your unique experience and engagement, including the schoolwork reflected in transcripts; what others say about your character and work ethic through recommendation letters; and your own reflections and perceptions revealed through your personal statement. We’ve streamlined the graduate admissions process for maximum convenience.
A number of our graduate degree programs use a centralized application system unique to their discipline and some use the La Verne Application. The information below gives a general overview of the graduate application process, but you should consult the program webpage for specific details on how and when to apply to the program.
Some of the University of La Verne’s programs have specific deadlines to apply and use a centralized application:
Program | Deadline | Application |
Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology | December 15 | PSYCAS |
Master of Science in Athletic Training | May 15 | ATCAS |
Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy | February 1 | PSYCAS |
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice | December 1 | CASPA |
The rest of our graduate programs are on rolling admission, and for those we recommend that you complete your application at least two months before the academic term starts. This will allow plenty of time for you to receive an admission decision and take care of financial aid, class registration, and other enrollment tasks.
Academic Term | Aim to Complete Your Application By |
Fall Term (August and October starts) | June 1 |
Spring Term (January and April starts) | December 1 |
Summer Term (June start) | April 1 |
Apply to the University of La Verne through our application platform.
A typical graduate application file will include the requirements below. All application materials become property of the university upon receipt.
